Marathon Training

Week 1, Day 1

Actually, yesterday was the first day of marathon training, in that my training week actually starts on Sundays. However, day 1 of each week is slated for cross-training. I celebrated this by doing a very minimal amount of “swimming.” And by very minimal amount, I mean that I got in the pool to cool off. While in the pool, I moved about…a little.

This morning’s run was good. I had to stop once to talk myself through how far away the bathroom was. You don’t want any more detail here. That happens every once in a while.

I felt good about my overall pace. It was comfortable, which was the goal of this morning’s first run.

This week, I need to complete my set up of my fundraising page, as I am running the Chicago Marathon this year in conjunction with Team World Vision. I hope you will join me in my effort. All of my updates will appear here.

I hope you have a great week.
