I was a little afraid to dive into marathon training after having an extended break during which I focused on not moving that much. I’m over regretting that…lesson learned…keep moving somehow some way.
I’m just started week 2. This week (that started yesterday), there are 34 miles on the plan. As of today, I’ve completed 8 of those. So far, I’m feeling fine. A little tired at certain points during the day as a result of getting up early, but I’m good overall. Trying to focus on what is important…progress over time. It really isn’t about any one particular day or even a particular run. It is the steady consistency over time that will get me where I want to go.
The last three days, I’ve run in Nacogdoches, TX. It’s beautiful here. It is also more hilly that is is at home. That’s good for me. This is the first time I have come here and run each morning. That is a good feeling.
Thanks for sharing, I need to get back to moving even if I’m not doing a marathon.
